Rick is a veteran Web TV producer. He's worked professionally in the space since 2006, and before that he was an early contributor to the nascent online video community in the pre-YouTube era. Aside from producing one of the web's most recognizable & longest-running series, the pop culture show Epic Fu (Winner, 2009 Streamy Awards, Best Hosted Series), he's worked with creators and talent from seminal web shows like Rocketboom, Ask a Ninja, and LonelyGirl15. He's produced content for many of the top online networks, including Next New Networks, Revision3, Escapist Magazine, PBS, and others. As a longtime collaborator of Smashface Productions, an immersive entertainment company, he's partnered with forward-thinking brands like Pepsico, Carmex, Puma, Intel, Asus, and Jinx Clothing. From producing national TV commercials to developing alternate reality games (ARG's), Rick's been involved in a wide range of projects on a multitude of platforms. Most recently, Rick produced a digital pilot for BBC Worldwide, and a 24-episode comedy/adventure web series for Escapist called A Good Knight's Quest (Official Selection, 2010 Independent Television Festival). He's also a regular guest on the industry podcast New Mediacracy. Rick continues to be active in the online video community – in 2009 he founded an organization called New Media West, a professional society for Web TV based in the Los Angeles area. Rick is a University of Michigan graduate and a native of Detroit, Michigan.
